A beta release of the theme I craeted for this site is now available for downloading. The theme is tested with Simple Machines Forum Version 1.0.3, but should work on older releases. I do not know if it can work with the 1.1 beta, as this version is not (yet) public.

I created that style, based on the "Aqua" template of http://www.aqua-soft.org - however, it is no longer a 1:1 copy of this vBulletin 3 style. It is using its own set of button images and some other graphics which were created for this theme alone.

Buttons are english only. At least, for now.

The theme has many non-standard features and layout changes, so please refer to the included README before installing it. You can preview this theme here (it is set as default theme for unregistered users) by selecting the theme "MY_AQUA" in the profile.

Thanks for the beta NightWish ... it looks great.  I even got the original css to work

I am new to SMF and just installed the Streaming 3 mod from http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=20067.0;all

The icons for the media do not show up in this theme.  They should be next to the flash and picture icons below the words "change color" I manually copied the 3 image files into the smfaqua/images/bbc folder but they still do nor show up.

Does something have to be done to the code of this theme to enable this (and perhaps other) mod(s)?

thanks

In general, mods not only need to modify the source, but also the theme(s). By default, SMF mods only handle the default theme

Most likely, yes. Code which adds the buttons needs to be added in the Post.template.php

Would the Post.template.php file be the same for both themes (prior to applying any mods)?

thanks

Nope, my Post template is quite different from the default version, because of the new layout and other things (dhtml collapsable sections for example).

Thanks

I found where the code goes and it works the same as in the default theme.

In neither case can I get an attachment (.mp3 or .mov for example) to play inline, like the gifs and jpgs do.

I managed to hack the code in pnPHPbb2 to do this but by coding skills are very weak.  Any idea where I would start to determine where the code to show the image (and hence multimedia files) within the post would be?

cheers

Modify the stylesheet and get the images. The original stylesheets are included in the README folder...

I want to add another color style.I have tried to modify the file "index.template.php", but I failed. The question is that I can not set $_COOKIE[$style_cookie] correctly.

How do I modify the file:index.template.php ,if I want to add a new color style?

Hi Nightwish! I love your theme very much and got it implemented on my SMF v1.1 beta3p despite it being NOT so compatible. I managed to fix things around here and there to get it working but there are two problems (so far) that I can't figure out what's the root of (the problem), where and how am I going to fix them.

The two stubborn problems that I can't deal with are as follows:

1) The tracking of users currently browsing forum and thread is enabled but why I can only see members names and 0 guests? I'm 101% sure that there are guests browsing in that forum or thread but it just shows ZERO always..

eg. spaceman and 0 Guests are viewing this board.

2) The "View Results" (without voting) in any Poll doesn't work. It works in default theme though so it must have something to do with Aqua theme. May I know which file exactly can I tackle this problem?

More details here: http://freshmidis.uni.cc/v2/forums/index.php?topic=278

This is a brilliant theme and I hope you can help me sort the problems out!

Thank you very much in advance! :)

The theme is made, and only full compatible, with SMF 1.0.x

I plan to uptdate it for 1.1 when I'll upgrade my own forum. This won't happen before 1.1 becoming final, though.

Must be Lucida Grande, I think (it's the typical "OS X Font"...

Hello, I couldn't find "PersonalMessage.template.php" in the .gz file. Is it left out or not needed? However now I have no access to my Personal Message page without the template.

Can you kindly attach it here?

Thank you in advance! :)

No. Templates which are not defined in a theme are automatically taken from the default theme. This is how the SMF template system works - a theme only "overrides" templates.

That's cool. I just notice it and it works fine now.

However I still have a problem unsolved, which is happening to this official forum too.

The DHTML menus ignore the direction when they cannot be fully displayed. For example, if the menu, which normally opens downwards, is at the bottom of the page, it will open upwards-

Oh so that's how it was made? Can you tell me how to make it to follow exactly the direction (up/down) regardless of the space available? Because on my board when the DHTML menus (Thread Actions) opens upwards, some options are being blocked by the <Thread bookmarks> selection box.

I'm sure it could be forced to do so, I just couldn't understand the scripts in functions.js, can you kindly tell me what to be modified for it to work? Thanks again.
