I have set a photo as desktop background, but it is too big, so I chose place it stretched in windows display options. My contact list is set to transparent (not like tweak ui).

Problem is: the image section, that is displayed in the clist, is the one, that would be displayed, if the desktop background would be placed "side by side". Supposably, placing the picture centered, would cause the same effect.

Yes, that's a known issue.

It does only work with tiled background images.It has always been this way from the very first version of clist_nicer and I don't think, I will rewrite this code.

You can workaround this by using a background picture with the exact resolution of your screen.
