Hi, today i downloaded the latest version of the tabSRMM... after I installed it, the following "thing" with my avatars occured:

It looks like the toolbar buttons are behind the avatar...
"Menu > View > Avatar > Align for maximum log size" solves this bug... the buttons are moved a little to the left so they're hidden no more... but when i close the tab and then reopen it, the buttons aren't visible again... plz could you please fix this?

Is this a "ICQ webphoto" linked by mTooltip or a local avatar=

Is dynamic avatar resizing checked?

Ehhh, yeah i think it's linked by the mToolTip (i'm changing the avatars in the "user details" card "Photo" ...not sure if the mToolTip added this option)

And the "dynamically resize avatars" is unchecked... and i don't want it checked because i don't want my avatars being resized...
however when i check that option, it does work :)

Any suggestions?

Just have a look on what's happening:
(this happens when i open/reopen the tab or the whole container)

--edit:
HEY! I fixed it... i disabled the "Send Button"... no more avatar bugs for me :D... but i think i found another one... i'm using the "double-enter-send" and there is one "enter" sent at the end of the message, i think i'll play with the settings more...

(GRR I must set all the fonts and colors for the message log again too!!!)

--edit2:
Damn... i was wrong... The avatar bug is still there, i forgot trying reopening the tab... (baka baka)

I'm really thinking of returning back to the previous version...
(if i'll find it somewhere on my HDD :))

Its a problem only for avatars loaded multithreaded (remote pictures)

Yes, sorry. Don't use alpha quality software, if you don't like such behaviour.

Not a bug, this works as it should.

Oh noooo nooo, in the 0.8.98 (i cant find it... damn, i want it back, can you give me a link to that version? but i'm not sure about the version number, 0.8.98 or 0.8.89) the double-enter worked fine, no "useless enter" was sent at the end of the message, now everybody is treating me that i have one more line sent at the end of every message... and it looks really stupid in the message log either...

It was like this:

And now it looks like this... no thx :(

As I said, it works as it should. The input area has changed to a richedit control which behaves differently when it comes to linefeeds.

To solve the problem:

* dont use send on double enter (will be removed anyway)
* or check "Remove trailing empty lines" in the message log options.

Again, its not a bug :)

OMG, there it is !!! I couldn't find it anywhere... But i knew there is an option to "not send" those empty lines...

Thx a lot, man... you rock! :D:D:D

(And now i'm gonna download those pictures down to my HDD and then update all my contacts with the local avatars... ohhhh what a hard work :))

And please, do NOT remove the "double-enter" sending method...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Dont do that - I already fixed that avatar problem and the next build will be up soon (probably this night).

Hmm, i tried the "remove trailing empty lines" checked but this "empty line" is still being sent... I can't see it now in my message window, but the others do...
Could you PLEASE add some kind of option which should customize this? I mean that the user can sellect the behaviour of this feature... i think it's not working well, because the previous versions worked differently.

In the previous version, there was NO empty-line sent but in the current version, the "first enter" is sent with the message and after that the "second enter" sends the whole message including this empty line (first enter)...

(Sorry for my poor english. I just dont know how to describe that better. I hope you understand what i mean...)

And thank you again for your patience.

No, don't use "send on double enter" - it doesn't work properly with the rich edit control in the input area. That's why I'am going to remove this option as there is no way to fix it (at least, not easily). The rich edit behaves slightly different from the standard edit control, as it's main purpose is to serve as a full-featured text editor.

There are a ton of shortcuts to send a message:
 • single enter (if configured)
 • shift - enter (always works)
 • ctrl - enter (does NOT work if send on single enter is active, because it will then insert a new line).
 • Alt -s
Send on double enter is pretty annoying anyway, as it will often cause a messge to be sent accidentially.

Accidentally? No no, it has never happened before... anyway, i think i'll go back to my favorite sending technique: [Tab] - [Enter]... or i'll just have to get used to the new hotkeys like Shift+Enter...

Hmmm, come on dude... you said the new version will be out yesterday...
I think I'll just copy all the avatars to my HDD and update the contacts one by one because those toolbar buttons behind the avatars are really annoying...

First, i'am not your "dude"...

Second, the new release will be available whenever I feel comfortable enough to release it. There really is no need to rush anything...

It can be workarounded by using the "dynamic avatar resizing".
