Question on Skinning options |

Hey Alex,

I use my copy of Miranda on two computers and shuffle it via a Flash Drive.

One of them is a Windows Server 2008 which has been Vistified (Aera & all, etc).
The other is a Windows Server 2003 machine w/ the standard gray interface.

In the skin file, it has this
Code:
[WindowFrame]
Caption=15

On Server 2008, this works fine, however, 2003 draws some funny stuff there.

If i change the skin to Caption=20, then it works perfectly on 2003 and not on 2008.

Is this a limitation of the skinning? or a bug?

I have attached a screen cap of it from Server 2008 with both the 20 and 15 settings. I won't have access to my Server 2003 machine until monday.
I also attached the .tsk file that i'm currently using (yes, rather ancient, but works well).

Thanks,

Bryan

Nope, it's not a bug.

Default window metrics are different when using Vista aero

That's fine and all, but i expected Frameless skinning to allow me to control everything. Do i not have such control?

Ok, i see where that comes in. the system caption size is subtracted from the theme caption size. Vista is 5 pixels larger than win2003.

Are you interested in a screen-cap of the win2003 system w/ a Caption smaller than 20? it looks wrong as colors do not appear to be drawn correctly.
