1. Welcome!
EosAlpha BBS is a fork of the popular Simple Machines Forum software. We aim at creating a new forum software, adding several new features and a modern and fresh design on top of the existing SMF code base.

This software is currently in an early stage of development and this forum acts primarily as a testing platform for the ongoing development.

Feel free to look around to get an idea about how it feels and looks.

Intraforum links |

This is just a small feature which I do nevertheless find useful, especially when you have to create a list of important topics for a sticky post - something forum moderators need to do frequently.

First off, every post has a permalink or reply-counter link the top right corner of the title bar.

Clicking this link will open a small JavaScript popup with a text-box holding a valid BBCode to create a link to this post. The BBCode is already highlighted and you can simply hit Ctrl+C to copy it to the clip board and then dismiss the popup. There is a new BBCode for creating these links automatically from a topic and post ID.

The advantage of these interforum-links is that they'll always stay valid, even if your forum should move to another domain or base URI, because the link is dynamically created from the current forum URL and the topic and post IDs.

Of course, if you know the BBCode, you can also manually create such a interforum link. The format is straightforward and simple:

[ilink topic=#### post=####]Text[/ilink]

The ### stand for the numeric topic and post ids.
Every program has at least one bug and can be shortened by at least one instruction -- from which, by induction, one can deduce that every program can be reduced to a single instruction that doesn't work.
